## Scope of work

Complete tear-off and replacement of an aged pergola/patio roof on an apartment block in Riverwood. The existing structure had deteriorated and leaked through to the patio below. Crown Roofers stripped the old roofing, inspected and reinforced the timber and steel pergola frame, then installed clear corrugated polycarbonate sheeting with new aluminium top-fixings and anti-dust seals at every edge. Box gutters and downpipes were re-sealed and reconnected to the existing stormwater.

## The challenge

The pergola spanned an apartment courtyard with multiple units overlooking the work zone, so material movement and noise had to be carefully scheduled. The existing frame had partial corrosion that needed remediation before fixings would hold.

## The outcome

A bright, watertight patio roof completed over 3 days. Natural light was restored to the courtyard while every leak was eliminated. Multiple residents commented on how much brighter the courtyard now feels.
