About This Project
Full strip and re-roof of a rear extension on a heritage terrace in Randwick. The existing low-pitch surface had reached end of life and was leaking through to the rooms below. Crown Roofers stripped the old material back to the rafters, installed new H3-treated structural battens, and laid new Colorbond Trimdek steel sheeting in matching profile. Edge trims, ridge capping and step flashings were all replaced and finished in matching Colorbond Surfmist.
The Challenge
Tight access through a narrow Randwick laneway meant every sheet had to be hand-carried in from the street. The neighbouring boundary fence sat directly against the gutter line, requiring custom-cut step flashing to deliver a fully watertight seal without disturbing the boundary.
The Outcome
