About This Project
Full re-roof of a rear addition on a heritage terrace in Randwick. The existing corrugated metal roof had reached end-of-service with multiple failed sheets and rusted-through fixings. Crown Roofers stripped the original roof, replaced damaged sarking and battens, and laid a complete new Zincalume corrugated steel roof system. New gutters, downpipes, and lead-free flashings were installed to complete the watertight finish.
The Challenge
Site access was through the rear garden of a heritage terrace with a concrete-paved courtyard. All material movement, debris removal and crane lifts had to be carefully managed to protect the surrounding heritage fabric.
The Outcome
A complete bright Zincalume roof finished in 2 days with all rubbish removed and the courtyard handed back spotless. The new roof carries a 36-year BlueScope product warranty.
