About This Project
Heritage-style terracotta tile roof restoration on a Belmore home. The original terracotta tiles had heavy oxidisation, broken bottoms, and several missing tiles. Crown Roofers replaced damaged tiles with matched terracotta, re-bedded and re-pointed every hip and ridge with flexible pointing, hand-cleaned the surface, then sealed with a clear breathable terracotta sealer to revive the natural orange-red colour without altering the heritage look.
The Challenge
Heritage colour-match was non-negotiable — sourcing matching terracotta replacement tiles required hand-selection from a specialist Sydney supplier to keep the original character intact.
The Outcome
Restored terracotta finish that matches original heritage colour while delivering full weather-tightness. The clear sealer system protects the tiles for an estimated 10–12 additional years.
